Quantity Surveyor – Construction Projects

About the role

The Quantity Surveyor (Site) will manage contractual, tender and claim activities on construction projects, ensuring accurate cost control and compliance with safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Take off quantities and evaluate quotations from approved vendors.
• Prepare subcontract documents and purchasing agreements.
• Measure as‑built works progressively.
• Handle procurement, contract administration, variations (VOs) and extensions of time (EOTs).
• Identify variation works and verify progress claims submitted by subcontractors/suppliers.
• Prepare payment responses and certificates.
• Liaise with consultants and QS teams on progress payments and variation orders.
• Ensure compliance with safety and occupational health practices on site.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Science, Building, Quantity Surveying, Engineering or a recognized QS certification.
• Experience in procurement for construction projects is an advantage.
• Strong organisational and interpersonal abilities.
• Good knowledge of Quantity Surveying, contracts administration and construction processes.
• Excellent time‑management, attention to detail and communication skills.
