Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Quantity Surveyor (or Senior Quantity Surveyor) to join our construction team. You will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of projects, from tender preparation through to final account settlement, ensuring cost control and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare tender documents, bills of quantities, cost estimates, budgets and related documentation.
• Evaluate quotations, conduct cost analysis and recommend suitable suppliers or subcontractors.
• Monitor project costs, manage progress claims, variation orders and final accounts.
• Assess and certify payment claims from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Conduct quantity take‑offs, measurements and cost evaluations.
• Maintain accurate records of project costs, claims, variations and contracts.
• Negotiate subcontract agreements, variation claims and account settlements.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, project teams, subcontractors and suppliers on commercial matters.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Building, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant Quantity Surveying experience in the construction industry.
• Familiarity with tendering procedures, contract administration, cost control, progress claims and final account settlement.
• Good knowledge of construction contracts, measurement standards and quantity take‑off practices.
• Strong analytical, negotiation and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Meticulous, organized and detail‑oriented with strong commercial awareness.
