Reality Capture & Construction Specialist

About the role

The Reality Capture & Construction Specialist is responsible for acquiring, processing and delivering high‑quality 3D reality data to support design, construction and BIM workflows. The role works closely with project teams, subcontractors and clients to ensure data accuracy and timely delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and execute field acquisition of reality capture data, including laser scans and 360° imagery.
• Process, register and convert raw data into accurate digital 3D models of the built environment.
• Publish and distribute reality capture datasets to meet project deliverables.
• Establish and maintain control networks for georeferencing to ensure data reliability.
• Develop and optimise standard operating procedures for various reality capture use cases.
• Collaborate with engineers, BIM teams and stakeholders to resolve constraints and integrate data into BIM platforms.
• Create marketing materials to promote reality capture and robotics technologies.
• Provide training content for using reality capture datasets within BIM workflows.
• Support architectural and MEP coordination, clash detection and material take‑off from 3D models.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Civil, Geospatial Science, Surveying or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience in the built environment, field operations and construction BIM/AEC.
• At least 3 years of practical experience with reality capture technologies such as 3D LiDAR scanning and 360° photogrammetry.
• Proven expertise in VDC and construction BIM‑to‑field‑to‑BIM workflows, including robotics and automation.
• Familiarity with laser scanning equipment from FARO and Leica Geosystems.
