Region General Procurement Senior Buyer

About the role

The Region General Procurement Senior Buyer leads indirect procurement for multiple APAC markets, reporting to the Regional General Procurement Manager. The role combines hands‑on sourcing with strategic category management to drive cost savings, risk mitigation and process standardisation across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end sourcing for Sales and Marketing Services categories.
• Develop and execute category strategies aligned with regional and global goals.
• Run RFPs, RFIs and tenders, negotiate contracts and secure annual savings.
• Partner with regional and country stakeholders, aligning demand and driving adoption of preferred suppliers.
• Facilitate supplier performance reviews, risk assessments and development programs.
• Ensure compliance with global policies, Supplier Code and data‑privacy requirements.
• Manage contract lifecycle in SAP Ariba and standardise processes across markets.
• Collaborate with the Procurement Service Centre to drive P2P compliance and resolve finance claims.
• Report savings, cost avoidance, payment term extensions and KPI performance.

Required profile

• University degree in Supply Chain, Business, Economics or related field; MBA/CIPS/CPSM a plus.
• Experience in indirect procurement within FMCG or pharma multinational environments.
• Proven track record managing multiple APAC markets simultaneously.
• Strong negotiation skills with a history of delivering hard savings.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders without direct authority.
• Analytical mindset with spend analytics and market benchmarking competence.
• Fluency in English; Mandarin or other Asian language a plus.
