Regional Network Expert

About the role

The Regional Network Expert designs, deploys, secures and keeps stable the enterprise network infrastructure across the region, covering corporate offices, retail stores and warehouses. The role ensures high availability, optimal performance and robust security across LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, multi-cloud, SD-WAN and firewall environments, and acts as the technical escalation point for regional network incidents and projects.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy, configure and maintain enterprise networking equipment (switches, routers, firewalls, wireless access points, SD-WAN appliances) from vendors such as Cisco, Cisco Meraki, Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, Huawei and HPE-Aruba.
• Design secure LAN/WLAN, WAN and SD-WAN architectures and connect sites to central datacenters and multi-cloud environments, working with global IT infrastructure teams.
• Administer and secure next-generation firewalls (Palo Alto Networks and FortiGate), manage site-to-site and remote-access VPNs, and troubleshoot SD-WAN deployments (Huawei, Cisco Meraki).
• Configure cloud networking in Azure (VPCs, subnets, routing, ExpressRoute/Interconnect, cloud firewalls) and apply NSGs and ASGs.
• Monitor performance and uptime, manage DHCP, DNS and IPAM (Infoblox where applicable), and handle firmware updates and patching.
• Troubleshoot Level 2 and Level 3 incidents and coordinate with telecom providers and global support teams.
• Lead regional network projects and drive change management, including Change Requests, risk assessments and rollback plans.
• Manage firewall rules, network segmentation, ACLs and 802.1X authentication, support audits with documentation and topology maps, write SOPs and train local IT support teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on enterprise network administration and multi-site deployments (retail or luxury sectors preferred).
• Professional-level certifications strongly preferred (e.g. PCNSA/PCNSE, NSE4/NSE7, CCNA/CCNP, Azure Network Engineer, ITIL Foundation).
• Detail-oriented, with project management, change management and cross-cultural communication skills, able to work in a fast-paced, retail-driven environment with minimal supervision.

Required skills

• Routing and switching (static, BGP, OSPF, Spanning Tree, VLANs)
• Hands-on NGFW administration (Palo Alto Networks, FortiGate) and multi-vendor LAN/WLAN/SD-WAN (Huawei, Cisco Meraki)
• Azure cloud networking and Wi-Fi design and site surveys (Meraki, Aruba)
• Infoblox (IPAM/DHCP) and automation tools such as Ansible and Terraform are a plus
