Regional Sales Manager ASEAN

About the role

An established European manufacturer of centrifugal pumps and liquid ring vacuum pumps, active in the food, chemical and wastewater industries, is expanding into Asia and setting up its Singapore operations. It is looking for a Regional Sales Manager to drive commercial growth across the ASEAN region, reporting to the Sales Director in Europe. The role covers Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines and combines field sales, account management, technical advisory and territory development.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement customer strategies aligned with global and regional business plans, retain existing accounts and secure new business with OEMs and distributors
• Prepare quotes and proposals, negotiate commercial agreements within headquarters' terms, and promote the product lines
• Analyse customer specifications, liaise with the presales engineering team, and act as the main point of contact for enquiries and corrective actions
• Prepare regular reports on sales, expenses, forecasts, KPIs and territory performance, attend monthly sales meetings in Europe, and represent the company at exhibitions and trade shows
• Recommend product improvements, new products and market-penetration strategies to the Sales Director

Required profile

• University degree in Mechanical Engineering or Business Administration, with experience in mechanical or hydraulic design or technical support
• At least 5 years in a sales, technical or engineering role in industrial pumps or adjacent markets such as food processing, chemical processing or wastewater treatment
• Proven track record managing B2B sales cycles with OEMs and distributors across multiple markets
• Business fluency in English; working knowledge of Bahasa Malaysia, Bahasa Indonesia, Mandarin, Vietnamese or Thai is an advantage
• Based in Singapore, available for about 65% regional travel, and able to complete 3-4 weeks of onboarding and product training in Europe
