Research Assistant – Cancer & Stem Cell Biology

About the role

The Liu Lab at Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine is seeking a motivated Research Assistant to support cutting‑edge cancer and stem cell biology projects. You will work in a collaborative environment, handling advanced cellular models and contributing to experimental design and data analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and develop complex cellular models, including organoids, 3D spheroids, and 2D cell cultures.
• Independently conduct and analyse molecular and cellular biology experiments using techniques such as qRT‑PCR, CRISPR‑based genetic manipulation, advanced live‑cell imaging, and biochemical assays.
• Collaborate with the Principal Investigator and PhD students to execute research plans and optimise protocols.
• Support laboratory compliance and safety by assisting in the creation of Risk Assessments and Standard Operating Procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in cell biology, biochemistry, or molecular biology.
