About the role
The Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information at NTU is seeking a Research Assistant to support the Centre for Healthy and Sustainable Cities (CHESS). The role involves assisting the Director in daily operations, research activities and project coordination within an interdisciplinary environment focused on health, risk and environmental issues in the Asian context.
Key responsibilities
- Manage daily operational, administrative and logistical tasks for CHESS, including financial operations, social media updates, and organization of symposia and training workshops.
- Coordinate student helpers and support event logistics.
- Conduct interviews, quantitative and qualitative analyses, and desk research.
- Prepare research reports, grant proposals and related documentation.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Psychology, Sociology or another Social Science discipline.
- Experience with academic research and online surveys.
- Demonstrated intellectual ability and maturity to begin an independent research career.
- Motivation to develop as an academic leader.
