About the role
The School of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology (CCEB) at NTU is seeking a Research Assistant to join Prof. Liu Xuewei’s interdisciplinary team. The role focuses on organic synthesis, food chemistry, and antimicrobial research, offering the chance to contribute to high‑impact publications and elevate NTU’s research profile.
Key responsibilities
- Design and execute synthetic experiments related to the project.
- Conduct independent research and prepare manuscripts for reputable academic journals.
- Collaborate with team members on carbohydrate, peptide, and protein synthesis.
- Perform biological assays to evaluate antimicrobial activity.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or a related field, obtained within the last five years.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated record in organic synthesis and antimicrobial research.
Required skills
- Organic synthesis techniques.
