Research Assistant – Quantum Materials

About the role

The Centre for Quantum Sensing Technology at NTU is seeking a Research Assistant to support experimental work on quantum sensing materials. The role involves material development, device fabrication and instrumentation within a defence‑focused research environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and characterize quantum sensing materials.
• Fabricate devices and perform instrumentation tasks as required.
• Assist with research operations, including procurement of lab supplies and experimental setup.
• Document experiments in consultation with the project leader.
• Monitor, repair and maintain equipment and process tools.
• Support events, publications, proposals and project reporting.

Required profile

• BSc/BEng in physics, engineering, materials engineering or a related field.
• Prior experience in quantum‑related work is advantageous.
