Research Associate – Climate Communication & VR

About the role
The Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information at NTU, in partnership with the Earth Observatory of Singapore, seeks a Research Associate to contribute to the Climate Transformation Program’s Sustainable Societies theme. The role focuses on using communication research and virtual reality tools to influence public attitudes toward climate change.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct literature searches and assist in manuscript preparation.
- Develop and implement VR applications for research.
- Conceptualize, design, and execute experiments.
- Perform statistical analyses on experimental data.
- Contribute to research publications and conference presentations.
- Prepare progress and final research reports.
- Disseminate research findings under the supervision of the Principal Investigator.
- Handle administrative tasks related to the research program.
Required profile
- Master’s degree in communication, psychology, sociology or a related social science discipline.
- Strong foundation in VR app development, experimental research and analytical methods.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a multicultural team.
- Demonstrated initiative and good interpersonal communication.
- Prior experience in VR app development and experimental research.
- Internationally recognised research track record (journal publications and conference presentations).
