Research Associate / Fellow – Power Engineering

About the role

The School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Nanyang Technological University is seeking a Research Associate or Research Fellow to advance research in power systems, covering energy management, electricity markets, renewable energy, smart grids and micro‑grids. The role also includes supporting teaching activities within the school.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct high‑impact research on power‑systems topics such as energy management, electricity markets, renewable energy, smart grids and micro‑grids.
• Publish findings in top‑tier journals and conferences.
• Prepare technical reports and deliver presentations at seminars and workshops.
• Assist with teaching duties, including lab supervision and tutorial sessions.

Required profile

• MSc/MEng (for Research Associate) or PhD (for Research Fellow) in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated expertise in electrical power systems and experience with energy management, smart grids and micro‑grids.
• Strong analytical and conceptual abilities with a proven record of publishing quality conference or journal papers.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
