Research Associate – Machine Learning & Computer Vision

About the role

The College of Computing and Data Science at Nanyang Technological University seeks a Research Associate to contribute to a one‑year, renewable project focused on generative design. You will work within MMLab, a leading research group in computer vision, multimodal AI, and generative AI.

Key responsibilities

• Independently conduct machine‑learning research related to generative design.
• Publish high‑quality papers in top‑tier conferences or journals as required by the funding body.
• Provide guidance and support to students involved in the project.
• Participate in, and when needed lead, project meetings.
• Perform any additional duties relevant to the research programme.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Strong foundation in Machine Learning and Computer Vision.
• Demonstrated record of publications in venues such as NeurIPS, CVPR, ECCV, ICLR, ICML, AAAI.
• Experience with scientific/engineering software (e.g., PyTorch).
• Excellent communication, logical thinking, and a willingness to learn.
• Research experience in related areas; industrial R&D experience is a plus.
