Research Fellow – Cell Biology

About the role

The School of Biological Sciences at Nanyang Technological University seeks a motivated Research Fellow to join Associate Professor Guillaume Thibault’s laboratory. The role focuses on host‑pathogen interactions and cellular stress biology, contributing to our understanding of chronic wound pathogenesis.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, design, and execute independent research projects within a multidisciplinary programme.
• Apply expertise in host‑cell biology, including mammalian cell culture, fluorescence microscopy, flow cytometry, and molecular biology techniques.
• Lead manuscript preparation and present findings at international conferences.
• Co‑mentor graduate students and research staff.
• Maintain regular communication with principal investigators, collaborators, and lab members.

Required profile

• PhD in cell biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, or a related discipline.
• Hands‑on experience with mammalian cell culture, fluorescence microscopy, flow cytometry, and standard molecular biology methods.
• Excellent written and oral English communication skills with proven scientific writing experience.
• At least one first‑author publication in a peer‑reviewed international journal.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a large, international team.
