Research Fellow (Computer Science/Engineering/Mathematics)

About the role

The College of Computing and Data Science at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) is seeking a Research Fellow to advance cutting‑edge research in computer‑aided design, geometric modelling, deep learning and large language models. The role involves developing novel algorithms and prototype tools for 3D content generation and shape analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct independent research within CCDS, NTU.
• Investigate new theories, models and algorithms in CAD, geometric modelling, deep learning, LLMs, etc.
• Develop and implement algorithms and prototype tools for 3D content generation, shape analysis, handling CAD models, point clouds, meshes, neural implicit representations, Gaussian splatting, and related data.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to students and junior research staff.
• Disseminate research outcomes through conference and journal papers, technical demos, patents and software tools.

Required profile

• PhD degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrated research experience in computer‑aided design, 3D graphics, machine learning, deep learning, AI or large language models.
• Strong publication record in reputable venues.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work independently.

Required skills

• Strong programming proficiency in C/C++ or Python.
