Research Fellow – MOF Electrochemical & CO₂ Removal

About the role

The School of Materials Science and Engineering at NTU seeks a Research Fellow to lead cutting‑edge work on metal‑organic frameworks (MOFs) for electrochemical applications and carbon‑dioxide capture. The role combines experimental synthesis, electrochemical testing, and process simulation within a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and optimise MOF synthesis protocols under varied conditions.
• Investigate electrochemical interface phenomena and evaluate performance in energy‑storage systems.
• Design and run simulations of scaled‑up processes for CO₂ removal.
• Collaborate with the machine‑learning group to establish databases and analytical pipelines.
• Document experimental results and contribute to scientific publications.

Required profile

• PhD in Chemistry, Materials Science, Physics or a closely related discipline.
• Strong background in materials or physical chemistry.
• Demonstrated experience with MOF synthesis and electrochemical or energy‑storage systems.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Track record of publications or patents is highly desirable.
