About the role
The School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Nanyang Technological University seeks a Research Fellow to lead the development of an onshore microgrid energy management system. This role combines modelling, optimisation, and software development within a vibrant academic environment.
Key responsibilities
- Develop static and dynamic models of onshore microgrids.
- Design and implement optimisation algorithms tailored to microgrid operational characteristics.
- Create a comprehensive energy management system, covering both frontend and backend components.
- Collaborate with faculty and graduate students to advance research objectives.
Required profile
- PhD in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Strong background in power system modelling and simulation.
- Research experience in power system operation and optimisation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Publication record is an advantage.
