About the role
The School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences at Nanyang Technological University is seeking a Research Fellow to join Professor Zhang Baile’s laboratory. The role focuses on topological photonics, combining both theoretical modelling and experimental implementation of novel photonic devices.
Key responsibilities
- Design and analyse topological photonic devices and circuits.
- Conduct experimental studies on topological and non‑Hermitian photonic structures.
- Explore emerging topics such as spacetime‑modulated and axion‑related photonic phenomena.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to advance research objectives.
Required profile
- PhD in physics, photonic materials, or a closely related field.
- Minimum four years of hands‑on experience in photonic research.
- Strong record of publications (at least four papers in high‑impact journals).
