About the role
The School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Nanyang Technological University is seeking four talented and highly motivated Research Fellows to advance its research programme on market design for future low‑carbon power systems. The role focuses on developing next‑generation electricity market, coordination and decision‑support frameworks that address energy adequacy, system stability, carbon goals and flexible resource participation.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct cutting‑edge research on low‑carbon power systems, electricity markets and energy flexibility coordination.
- Develop analytical, optimisation, simulation and data‑driven models for market design and power‑system operation under high renewable penetration.
- Design and evaluate market mechanisms, including clearing, pricing, flexibility and storage coordination.
- Study strategic interactions among market participants and integrate market design with system planning and operation.
- Contribute to AI‑enabled market simulation and the aggregation of distributed energy resources.
