About the role
The School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences at Nanyang Technological University seeks a Research Fellow to lead the development of an experimental quantum processor based on neutral atom arrays. The role involves building and operating a cold‑atom apparatus and guiding a small research team.
Key responsibilities
- Design, construct, and optimise a cold‑atom apparatus using state‑of‑the‑art technologies.
- Develop the hardware and software interfaces required to drive a neutral‑atom quantum processor.
- Collect, process, and analyse experimental data to assess processor performance.
- Report progress weekly to the principal investigator.
- Supervise and mentor undergraduate and PhD students working on the project.
Required profile
- PhD in experimental physics, preferably in quantum physics or optics.
- At least one year of relevant experience in a similar research environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently on complex experimental setups.
