About the role

The School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences at Nanyang Technological University seeks a Research Fellow to lead the development of an experimental quantum processor based on neutral atom arrays. The role involves building and operating a cold‑atom apparatus and guiding a small research team.

Key responsibilities

Design, construct, and optimise a cold‑atom apparatus using state‑of‑the‑art technologies.
Develop the hardware and software interfaces required to drive a neutral‑atom quantum processor.
Collect, process, and analyse experimental data to assess processor performance.
Report progress weekly to the principal investigator.
Supervise and mentor undergraduate and PhD students working on the project.

Required profile

PhD in experimental physics, preferably in quantum physics or optics.
At least one year of relevant experience in a similar research environment.
Demonstrated ability to work independently on complex experimental setups.
