Research Officer – Precision Health

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Research Officer to join the Computational Therapeutics Innovation group at the Bioinformatics Institute, A*STAR. The role supports the national precision medicine programme by applying bio‑informatics and pharmacometric methods to precision dosing projects.

Key responsibilities

• Provide dry‑lab support for PK/PD modelling, data cleaning and wrangling within the TRUST AWS environment.
• Perform GWAS and other bio‑informatics analyses related to pharmacogenomics.
• Collect, curate and manage research datasets and maintain documentation.
• Prepare progress reports and present findings to the team.
• Conduct literature reviews and contribute to research discussions.
• Assist in maintaining a safe and efficient laboratory environment.
• Ensure timely delivery of high‑quality project deliverables.

Required profile

• Degree in Pharmaceutical Science, Life Sciences, Pharmacy or a related discipline.
• At least one year of research experience.
• Strong organisational abilities and capacity to multitask.
• Highly motivated, eager to learn and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Required skills

• Basic data‑wrangling in R and Python.
• Understanding of pharmacology concepts and enzyme kinetics.
• Experience with PK/PD analysis; familiarity with software such as Monolix, WinNonlin or NONMEM is a plus.
• Experience working with AWS (TRUST environment) and GWAS analysis.
