Research & Partnerships Manager

About the role

The School of Materials Science and Engineering at Nanyang Technological University seeks a dynamic professional to lead its Research & Partnerships portfolio. Reporting to school management, you will shape collaborations with academia, industry and government while enhancing the school’s research impact.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day operations of the Research Office, including research manpower coordination and administrative processes.
• Support school leadership in planning and implementing initiatives that strengthen the research portfolio.
• Coordinate with the College and relevant offices on research grant administration, agreements and related documentation.
• Assist in collecting, analysing and reporting research data and statistics.
• Provide administrative support for research publicity materials and submissions.
• Organise and support research engagement activities such as seminars, workshops, courses and stakeholder sessions.
• Act as primary contact for research administration matters and participate in assigned committees or initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with university policies, funding agency requirements and relevant regulations.
• Guide one direct report to ensure seamless support for the office’s priorities.

Required profile

• Recognised Master’s or PhD degree.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in research grant or project management.
• Strong understanding of the research ecosystem.
• International or interdisciplinary experience in technical environments with a proven track record in grant management.
