Resident Architect

About the role

Aedas, a global architecture design practice, is seeking a Resident Architect to lead on‑site supervision and coordination for projects in Singapore. You will ensure that architectural works are delivered to the highest quality, safety and sustainability standards while aligning with approved designs and local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and inspect architectural works on‑site to verify compliance with drawings, specifications and authority requirements.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants and internal project teams on technical and site‑related matters.
• Review and monitor shop drawings, material submissions and method statements.
• Ensure works adhere to project quality standards, timelines and safety/environmental regulations.
• Identify and resolve design discrepancies, site issues and construction challenges.
• Attend site meetings, provide progress updates and maintain accurate documentation.
• Assist in resolving RFIs and site instructions, and support testing and commissioning processes.
• Monitor contractor progress and report status to the project team.

Required profile

• Degree in Architecture from a recognised institution.
• Registered Architect with the Board of Architects Singapore.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience, including prior experience as a Resident Architect or similar site‑based role in Singapore.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore local codes and regulations.
• Excellent coordination, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Detail‑oriented with a strong sense of responsibility and accountability.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
