Restaurant Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to lead both front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house operations at our Jurong Island location. This contract role requires a proactive leader who can ensure exceptional service, maintain high standards, and drive profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily Front of the House and Back of the House restaurant operations
• Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction
• Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints
• Regularly review product quality and research new vendors
• Organize and supervise shifts
• Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity
• Estimate future needs for goods, kitchen utensils and cleaning products
• Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations
• Manage the restaurant’s image and suggest improvements
• Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste
• Create detailed reports on weekly, monthly and annual revenues and expenses
• Promote the brand in the local community through word‑of‑mouth and events
• Recommend ways to reach a broader audience, including discounts and social media ads
• Train new and current employees on proper customer service practices
• Implement policies and protocols to sustain future restaurant operations

Required profile

• Proven work experience as a Restaurant Manager or Restaurant General Manager
• Proven customer service experience in a managerial role
• Extensive food and beverage knowledge with ability to inform customers and staff about menu items
• Familiarity with restaurant management software such as OpenTable and PeachWorks
• Strong leadership, motivational and people management abilities
• Acute financial management skills
