Restaurant Product Development Executive (Chinese Cuisine)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Restaurant Product Development Executive to drive culinary innovation for our Chinese cuisine brand, Tai Er. You will create new menu items, refine existing recipes, and support kitchen operations while ensuring brand consistency across all outlets.

Key responsibilities

• Research market trends and customer preferences to design new menu concepts aligned with the brand.
• Review and improve existing recipes for taste, presentation, consistency and operational efficiency.
• Develop and maintain standardized recipes, preparation methods and plating guidelines.
• Collaborate with Operations, Procurement and Management on menu planning, seasonal promotions and product launches.
• Train kitchen teams on new recipes, techniques and quality standards.
• Monitor ingredient utilization, control food cost and suggest process improvements.
• Conduct kitchen audits to ensure compliance with quality, hygiene and presentation standards.

Required profile

• Diploma, professional certificate or equivalent in Culinary Arts, Hospitality or related field (preferred).
• 3–5 years of experience working with Chinese cuisine.
• Experience in menu development, recipe standardisation or culinary product development is an advantage.
• Strong communication, teamwork and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
