Retail Manager, Travel Retail SEA

About the role

The Retail Manager (Travel Retail SEA) is a Retail Expert based in Singapore who works with the Commercial team and local operators to run day-to-day airport stores, shop-in-shops and boutiques. The role optimizes the business, drives sales and identifies opportunities, and acts as the liaison for sales targets, brand image and service consistency. It also involves co-managing a team of sales ambassadors and guiding their professional development.

Key responsibilities

• Drive consistent sales and profit growth: set and follow up individual and collective sales targets daily, weekly and monthly, and use sell-out reports, Power BI and POS data to maximise sales potential
• Manage stock at store level, check planograms, brief on novelties and promotions, and optimise shift planning
• Ensure commercial viability of the assortment and appropriate inventory levels, and escalate inventory issues to the Commercial team
• Carry out market research on competitors and consumers, and support new store openings
• Recruit, train and coach sales ambassadors, hold daily briefings and lead by example with personal sales
• Keep brand merchandising standards consistent: store presentation, cleanliness, planogramming, in-store communication, product displays and POSM
• Build strong relationships with retailers and operators, and escalate critical issues to the Commercial team and Head of Retail Operations

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of retail experience
• Minimum 2 years of multi-store management experience
• Travel retail experience preferred but not required
• 7+ years of combined college education and work experience may substitute for a degree
