Retail Optometrist – 5‑day week, up to $4k

About the role

We are looking for a qualified Retail Optometrist to join our eye‑care stores across Singapore. The role involves providing comprehensive eye examinations, advising patients on vision solutions and supporting the retail team in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct eye examinations using slit‑lamp biomicroscopy, fundus camera, optical coherence tomography, non‑contact tonometer and Humphrey visual field analyser.
• Interpret results, explain findings to patients and recommend appropriate optical aids.
• Write referrals to ophthalmologists when serious eye conditions are detected.
• Fit and adjust spectacles and ophthalmic lenses, and manage contact‑lens fitting and education for first‑time wearers.
• Maintain inventory of contact lenses, trial lenses and solutions.
• Ensure all diagnostic equipment and measuring tools are calibrated and in good working order.
• Keep accurate patient records and purchase histories.
• Supervise and train junior optometrists and opticians; perform ad‑hoc duties assigned by the Branch Manager.

Required profile

• Diploma in Optometry with a valid Optometry Order of Business (OOB) licence.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant retail optometry experience.
• Strong communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
