Retail Sales Intern

About the role

Join Carousell Mobile, the retail arm of Carousell Group, as a Retail Sales Intern. You will work in a fast‑paced smartphone store, helping customers with purchases, trade‑ins and daily store activities while gaining hands‑on experience in retail operations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist customers in exploring smartphones and accessories, recommend devices based on needs and budget, and learn basic POS and payment handling.
• Support trade‑in processes by conducting basic phone inspections, handling documentation and managing buy‑back transactions.
• Provide friendly, day‑to‑day customer service to ensure a smooth and transparent retail experience.
• Maintain store presentation through housekeeping, organising device displays and updating pricing information.
• Create simple TikTok or Instagram content to promote new arrivals and store offers.

Required profile

• Enjoy interacting with customers and have a genuine interest in smartphones, gadgets or technology.
• Willing to learn in a retail sales environment and comfortable working in shopping‑mall stores.
• Positive attitude, team‑oriented mindset and readiness to support daily operations.
• Previous part‑time experience in retail, sales or customer service is an advantage.
