Revenue Recognition Analyst

About the role

Carousell Group is building a finance function that matches its fast‑moving tech business. As a Revenue Recognition Analyst you will ensure revenue is recorded accurately and on time while driving automation and data‑focused improvements across the finance team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end close activities, including reconciliations, flux analysis and journal entry approvals for deferred and recognised revenue.
• Ensure revenue is recognised accurately and on schedule, complying with ASC 606/IFRS 15.
• Oversee compliance of all revenue streams with global accounting standards.
• Identify and implement opportunities to streamline and automate finance workflows.
• Revamp legacy systems and processes toward scalable, tech‑enabled solutions.
• Partner with data and product teams to improve reporting, forecasting accuracy and data‑driven decision‑making.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to align finance operations with business needs.
• Explore and deploy AI‑powered tools to boost efficiency and accuracy in revenue recognition.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of experience in finance, accounting or data analytics.
• Background in accounting (CPA/ACCA) or data/analytics with significant finance exposure.
• Solid understanding of P&L management and revenue flow.
• Hands‑on, proactive attitude.
