Risk & Quality and Data Protection Manager (12 months)

About the role

A 12-month contract position in Singapore for the Risk & Quality (R&Q) Team and Data Protection Office (DPO) Team. It is an internal-facing role focused on supporting and reporting to the firmwide Risk Director and Data Protection Officer.

Key responsibilities

• Data protection: help plan, coordinate and run data protection audits and reviews, track follow-up actions and ensure timely resolution of audit matters
• Contribute to improving data protection policies and procedures, and help ensure compliance with local and global regulations such as GDPR and PDPA
• Answer data protection queries, help document data incidents and support ad-hoc data protection initiatives
• Risk management: collaborate on rolling out risk and quality initiatives and help develop resources supporting client service delivery
• Contribute to risk and compliance training programmes and advise engagement teams on internal policies, regulations (e.g. MAS, anti-money laundering, counter-terrorism financing) and contractual obligations
• Assist with background checks, daily risk management, ongoing monitoring, reporting and improvement, and ad-hoc risk and compliance projects

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting or Finance; a background in law is a plus
• At least 6 years of experience in risk management, compliance or data protection, ideally in professional services or a corporate environment
• Good knowledge of data protection laws and familiarity with MAS, anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing regulations
• Strong communication, organisational and analytical skills
• Self-driven, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks within a team

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Knowledge of GDPR and PDPA
