School Nurse for Special Education Programme

About the role

The Rainbow Centre Special Education Programme is seeking a dedicated School Nurse to support students with multiple disabilities and autism spectrum disorder. You will work on‑site at Admiral Hill School, providing first‑aid, health screening and health‑education services to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first aid or refer to emergency care and ensure all medical supplies and equipment are available and functional.
• Assess student and staff health needs, administer appropriate first‑aid, and arrange transfer to the nearest hospital when required.
• Implement and coordinate student health‑screening and education programmes, liaising with the School Health Unit, IOH and volunteer doctors.
• Collaborate with teachers to monitor health‑related absenteeism.
• Maintain and update student medical records, individual health plans and immunisation records in the Student Management System.
• Report major injuries, inspect equipment, keep the sick bay and dental clinic clean, and replenish supplies as needed.

Required profile

• A Nursing Diploma (Registered Nurse) or Nitec in Nursing (Enrolled Nurse).
• Registration with the Singapore Nursing Board.
• Certification in CPR and/or AED.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience, preferably in a school or special‑needs setting.
• Knowledge of clinical skills and Singapore health policy.
