Scrum Master

About the role

NCS, an AI tech services company and subsidiary of the Singtel Group, is hiring a Scrum Master in Singapore. The Scrum Master upholds Scrum values so that quality software is delivered according to specification, follows Agile procedures aligned with technical and business objectives, and leads the team toward a high-trust, efficient, learning-oriented and psychologically safe environment.

Key responsibilities

• Agile / Scrum leadership: educate customers and the team on Agile, run Scrum ceremonies, facilitate sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, reviews and retrospectives, promote Agile metrics, use tools such as Jira, Confluence, Miro or Azure DevOps, and remove impediments.
• Project and delivery management: act as single point of contact for customer teams, plan and track software development, manage customer expectations, ensure quality and ongoing maintenance, and maintain good customer relationships.
• Requirements and technical collaboration: work with the Product Owner on backlog grooming and prioritization, analyse requirements and translate designs into process and program specifications.
• Team leadership and people development: coach, train and mentor team members, communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and foster collaboration across cross-functional teams.

Required profile

• 3 years of Scrum Master experience.
• At least 7 years of project experience in software design and development, of which at least 3 years in Agile projects.
• Degree or Master's in Computer Science and Engineering.
• Experience with cross-functional Agile teams (developers, UX, QA, DevOps, product stakeholders).
• Proven ability to lead, develop and maintain respectful, trusting relationships, and proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Flexibility to work in hybrid or remote settings.

Required skills

• Prior exposure to Agile methods such as Scrum, XP or Kanban; user stories are a plus.
• Agile certifications (CSM, CSP, PSM, PPO or PMI-ACP); PMP, CITPM or Prince2 is an advantage.
• Preferred: cloud Agile delivery (AWS, GCP, Azure), Design Thinking or Lean UX, SAFe or LeSS, Scrum of Scrums, Agile health checks, and facilitation tools such as Mural, Miro or Jamboard.
