Secondary School Educator – Autism-focused School

About the role

Pathlight School, Singapore’s first autism‑focused school offering the national curriculum, is looking for passionate secondary school educators to teach subjects such as English, Mathematics, Science, Art, D&T, Humanities, CPA and PE. You will support students on the autism spectrum, helping them achieve academic success and develop life‑readiness skills.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, well‑paced lessons tailored to diverse learner profiles.
• Use evidence‑based pedagogy and meaningful activities to meet individual education needs.
• Implement varied assessment methods, provide accurate feedback and close learning gaps.
• Build strong, caring relationships with students and support their holistic development.
• Develop and monitor data‑driven IEP/ITP plans in partnership with families, caregivers and allied professionals.
• Utilise Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), assistive learning devices and learning technology to enhance student learning.
• Establish positive classroom routines, manage challenging behaviours and ensure a safe learning environment.
• Respond to emergency situations following school protocols.
• Engage in professional development and collaborative learning teams.
• Contribute to co‑curricular activities, school committees and stakeholder communication.
• Handle daily administrative tasks such as attendance tracking.
