Security Software Developer

About the role

CSIT is seeking a Security Software Developer to design, build, and maintain cutting‑edge penetration‑testing products and platforms. You will work closely with security researchers to create tools that simulate real‑world attacks and strengthen Singapore’s cyber defenses.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain pentesting products and platforms for daily cyber‑security operations.
• Architect scalable, reliable, and secure software solutions for penetration‑testing exercises.
• Create scripts and automation tools to deploy, configure, and orchestrate pentesting environments.
• Research and develop testing frameworks that emulate realistic attack scenarios.
• Collaborate with security analysts to incorporate emerging threats into simulations.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for rapid product iteration.

Required profile

• Background in Computer Science, Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse teams.
• Effective collaboration with stakeholders across the organization.

Required skills

• Proficiency in at least one language: C/C++, C#, Java, or Python.
• Understanding of security protocols such as SSL/TLS, HTTP, and network security.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts.
• Experience with container technology (Docker).
• Knowledge of database concepts, queries, and optimisation techniques.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
• Version control using Git.
