Senior Account Manager – Institutional Clients

About the role

As a Senior Account Manager on Coinbase’s STP Account Management team, you will own the relationship with the firm’s highest‑priority institutional clients. You will guide them through onboarding, integration, and ongoing use of the Coinbase Prime platform, helping them unlock value across custody, trading, staking, and stablecoin services.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of top‑tier institutional accounts end‑to‑end, from onboarding to continuous account stewardship.
• Drive adoption and trading volume by identifying upsell and cross‑sell opportunities across the Prime product suite.
• Collaborate with Sales, Trading, Legal, Compliance, and Operations to resolve complex client needs and deliver tailored solutions.
• Lead product demos and technical walkthroughs, acting as the subject‑matter expert on Coinbase’s institutional capabilities.
• Maintain disciplined pipeline and account management in the CRM system, prioritising requests and ensuring timely resolution.
• Provide client feedback to shape the institutional product roadmap, surfacing feature requests and usage insights for Product and Engineering teams.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience managing institutional client relationships in financial services, cryptocurrency exchanges, or fintech.
• Proven track record of growing client adoption, trading volume, or revenue within a portfolio of complex, multi‑product accounts.
• Hands‑on experience with full client lifecycles for institutional products such as prime brokerage, custody, trading, or staking.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate across cross‑functional teams without direct authority.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM tools for pipeline and account management.
