Senior AI Scientist

About the role

SingHealth's AI Office develops artificial intelligence for academic medicine, with four functions: research and development, commercial partnerships, AI analytics and governance, and AI education. As a Senior AI Scientist you will work on clinical and operational projects using structured and imaging datasets from a wide range of patient profiles, supporting the Principal Investigator's AI and digital innovation projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and validate AI algorithms for the PI's projects and explore new technical methods
• Spearhead technical development while exploring novel methodologies
• Support cluster platform development and coordinate retrospective data collection for analysis
• Collaborate closely with the project coordinator and biostatistician
• Publish research outcomes in journals of international standing and other reputable outlets
• Present scientific outcomes and strategies to PIs and collaborators
• Prepare research reports for the Director and PIs
• Mentor junior AI scientists in healthcare AI development and publications

Required profile

• PhD in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline
• At least 4 years of experience in academia or industry in AI, machine learning/deep learning (non-medical) or digital health technology
• Ability to drive and strategise AI initiatives that translate into clinical applications
• Strong understanding of clinical research principles
