Senior Assembler

About the role

Edwards Lifesciences' manufacturing teams create the tools, technologies and devices that help patients worldwide. This Senior Assembler role sits within the sewing, assembly, delivery and distribution teams, where attention to detail and continuous improvement turn innovative ideas into reality.

Key responsibilities

• Use a broad range of tools and equipment to assemble medical devices precisely and on time at multiple workstations, following work orders and drawings and entering parts status data
• Follow work instructions and SOPs, record traceable information on device history records and enter data into manufacturing data systems
• Perform line clearance, such as cleaning and sanitising workstations at the start of a shift and when switching work orders
• Provide coaching and training to lower-level employees, monitor line performance and give constructive feedback, escalating issues to the supervisor
• Carry out self-assessment, including visual inspection under magnification, and keep the work area tidy

Required profile

• 4 years of previous related experience
• Secondary education and previous medical device assembly experience preferred
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English at an elementary level, including basic numerical functions
• Flexibility to work overtime to keep manufacturing running smoothly
• Adherence to environmental health and safety and quality guidelines, including clean-room standards for medical device manufacturing
