Senior Assistant Director, Major Gifts

About the role
The University Advancement Office at NTU is looking for a motivated Senior Assistant Director to lead its Major Gifts team. You will play a pivotal role in cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major donors to support the university’s education and research initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and manage relationships with philanthropists, alumni, corporations, foundations and friends to maximise philanthropic outcomes.
- Strategically drive major‑gift fundraising, capital campaigns, corporate donations, grants and bequests.
- Collaborate with university leadership, faculty, volunteers and UAO colleagues to advance gift discussions and align donor interests with NTU’s campaign priorities.
- Lead gift structuring, oversee the closing process and work with the Stewardship Team to move donors to higher levels of giving.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
- Experience in higher‑education or not‑for‑profit fundraising, or comparable business‑development/consultative sales experience.
- Proven ability to manage complex, diverse relationships and work effectively with multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent written communication, strong planning and organisational skills, and the capacity to meet deadlines in a fast‑moving environment.
- Professional presence, collaborative work style, cultural sensitivity and a proactive, solutions‑oriented mindset.
