Senior Assistant Manager, Laboratory Services

About the role

The School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Nanyang Technological University (established in 1981, with over 120 faculty members and more than 5,000 students) is hiring a Senior Assistant Manager for Laboratory Services. The incumbent provides teaching technical excellence across the school's teaching laboratories.

Key responsibilities

• Provide administrative and technical support for all laboratory users.
• Manage procurement for teaching laboratories.
• Handle asset management and maintain proper records for inventory auditing.
• Support all assigned laboratory teaching classes.
• Assist the Safety Committee on laboratory safety matters.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the school.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in an educational institution preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; highly motivated, initiative and proactive.

Required skills

• IT savvy, proficient in MS Office applications.
• Meticulous, organized and able to multi-task.
• Familiarity with Python and Linux is a plus.
• Experience in risk management, workplace safety and health (e.g. ISO 45001) is a plus.
