Senior Back-End Developer, Vice President

About the role

Citi is hiring a Senior Back-End Developer in Singapore, within its Applications Development team. The role leads applications systems analysis and programming, working with the Technology team to establish and implement new or revised application systems and programs. It sits in the context of CitiQuote, the equity derivatives pre-trade platform, which is being revamped and transformed with an agile approach.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with multiple management teams to integrate functions, define system enhancements and deploy new products and process improvements
• Analyze complex business and system processes and industry standards to solve high-impact problems
• Ensure application design follows the architecture blueprint and set standards for coding, testing, debugging and implementation
• Coach mid-level developers and analysts and allocate work
• Assess risk and uphold compliance with laws, rules and regulations, safeguarding the firm's reputation, clients and assets

Required profile

• 6-10 years of experience in apps development or systems analysis
• Extensive experience in system analysis and programming of software applications
• Experience managing and implementing successful projects
• Leadership and project management skills, and strong written and verbal communication
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; Master's preferred

Required skills

• Java-based languages, preferably Kotlin, with 2 years of experience and openness to learn Kotlin
• Microservices and containerization, each with 2 years of experience
• Agile, TDD, BDD and DevOps best practices
• Nice to have: C#, MS SQL, finance experience (equity derivatives)
