Senior Backend Developer – C++ & Payment Systems

About the role

The Senior Backend Developer will design, develop and enhance backend services that power payment processing and transaction switching platforms, ensuring high performance and security.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and enhance backend services supporting payment processing and transaction switching platforms.
• Implement and maintain integrations with international payment schemes such as Visa, Mastercard, American Express and UPI.
• Support migration initiatives, including Base24‑eps deployment on Linux RHEL and cloud environments.
• Analyse technical requirements, contribute to solution design, architecture discussions and documentation.
• Develop high‑performance components for large‑scale transaction processing and perform system optimisation, troubleshooting and performance tuning.
• Collaborate with QA, frontend teams, business stakeholders, banks, vendors and payment partners.
• Ensure compliance with PCI‑DSS, card‑scheme requirements and secure transaction processing practices.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on C++ development experience for enterprise‑grade transaction processing systems.
• Extensive experience building backend applications on Linux (preferably RHEL) and integrating with payment schemes.
• Proven background in payment systems, gateways or switching platforms.
