Senior Clinical Psychologist

About the role

The Senior Clinical Psychologist will deliver comprehensive psychological services to inpatient and outpatient populations within a multidisciplinary hospital setting. The role combines direct patient care, supervision of junior staff, and contribution to service development and research.

Key responsibilities

• Provide individual and group psychotherapy (e.g., CBT, stress management, mindfulness) for moderate to complex cases.
• Conduct and interpret comprehensive psychometric assessments, including IQ, neuro‑psychological, and dementia evaluations.
• Manage medico‑legal and forensic cases, producing expert reports and documentation.
• Maintain high standards of clinical care, participate in quality‑improvement projects, and ensure accurate outcome monitoring.
• Supervise and mentor junior psychologists and allied health students, delivering training and workshops.
• Lead educational activities such as staff peer‑support programs, seminars, and conference presentations.
• Engage in research activities: literature review, protocol development, grant writing, data collection, analysis, and manuscript preparation.
• Contribute to service planning, resource management, and inter‑professional workgroups to meet strategic goals.

Required profile

• Advanced clinical competence with professional autonomy.
• Experience in delivering psychotherapy and complex psychometric assessments.
• Proven ability to supervise junior staff and lead multidisciplinary initiatives.
• Strong commitment to evidence‑based practice and continuous service improvement.
