Senior Consultant - Data

About the role

Capco is seeking a Senior Consultant to lead data governance and management initiatives for leading financial institutions in Singapore. The role involves designing frameworks, guiding regulatory compliance, and supporting data‑driven transformation across banking, insurance and capital markets.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise Data Governance and Management frameworks, including data ownership, stewardship and critical data elements.
• Define and operationalise business glossaries, metadata, lineage and data quality controls using platforms such as Collibra, Informatica, Microsoft Purview and Ab Initio.
• Support regulatory initiatives related to data sovereignty, privacy and cross‑border data, and shape governance operating models, policies and standards.
• Collaborate with business, technology, risk, compliance and senior leadership to solve complex enterprise data challenges.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Finance, Mathematics or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management or enterprise data transformation within banking, wealth management, insurance or capital markets.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with ability to engage senior executives, regulators and cross‑functional teams.
• Experience delivering projects using Agile or hybrid methodologies and fluent English communication.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with Collibra (or similar data governance tools).
• Proficiency in Informatica, Microsoft Purview and Ab Initio.
• Knowledge of DCAM, data lineage, metadata management, master data management and data quality frameworks.
• Familiarity with cloud data platforms and Agile project delivery.
