Senior Data Scientist (Analytics), Financial Services

About the role

Grab is hiring a Senior Data Scientist (Analytics) for its Financial Services (FS) Analytics team, which covers the Digibanks GXS Bank (Singapore) and GX Bank (Malaysia). The role sits in the Save & Spend (SNS) Tech Family, covering deposits, investments, cards, consumer payments, wallet and GrabKios. Reporting to the Senior Analytics Manager, you will work onsite in the Grab One North Singapore office.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with product, design and engineering teams to derive insights, design experiments and drive key product decisions.
• Support strategic plans with data insights, including deep dives into user behaviour, segmented views and product efficacy.
• Provide tailored analysis for products and strategies, define critical metrics and recommend continuous improvements.
• Design, measure and recommend A/B tests and multivariate experiments, including layout optimisation, UI/UX efficacy, algorithm effectiveness and API performance.
• Analyse clickstream and transactional data to uncover user behaviour insights and drive product metrics.
• Manage instrumentation for feature releases within the assigned product stream.
• Develop self-serve, scalable and automated solutions for stakeholders.
• Drive plans involving Large Language Models or Generative AI.

Required profile

• At least 4 years of experience in analytics, business intelligence or data science in a tech (fintech or e-commerce) company or financial institution.
• Bachelor's degree in statistics, analytics, economics, mathematics, engineering or a related field.

Required skills

• Advanced SQL and querying of large relational databases.
• Data analysis and programming with Python or R.
• Data visualisation with Tableau, PowerBI or D3.js.
• A/B testing, hypothesis testing and basic Design of Experiments.
