Senior Engineer, Assembly & Test Central QA

About the role

Micron is hiring a Senior Engineer for its Assembly & Test Central QA team. The role supports the handling of material review board (MRB) events, drives recovery activities at assembly and test sites, and provides data analysis and technical expertise to internal customers.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate the global MRB for all Micron-induced quality events, including rescreen meetings, containment and disposition of materials, and alignment with stakeholders such as Packrel and QRA teams.
• Drive effectiveness of MRB metrics, present GMRB issues to GQ management, and work with supply chain on business risk and recovery updates.
• Drive recovery activities at AT sites, including FG, and collaborate with AT Operations and the network to close key action items.
• Support Package Reliability Engineers by collecting and analyzing data, developing analysis tools, and reporting results.
• Manage a cross-functional team independently, coach engineers on complex quality issues, document and publish data and meeting minutes, and track progress on action items.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Applied Physics, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the semiconductor field.
• Strong foundation in semiconductor manufacturing systems, factory physics and production planning concepts.
• Experience handling MRB and basing disposition on reliability risk assessment.
• Ability to balance customer risk, revenue impact and supply continuity, and work with supply chain teams during MRB events.

Required skills

• Knowledge of statistics and reliability risk assessment is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills, including statistical analysis of issues.
• Hands-on experience using yield trends, fail Pareto charts and lot correlation to turn raw data into actionable insights for GMRB decisions.
