Senior Executive, Finance Operations

About the role

The role is responsible for the accurate, timely and compliant processing and reconciliation of supplier invoices through SAP Ariba and SAP. Beyond hands-on invoice processing, the job holder manages invoice exceptions and reconciliations, supports stakeholders, analyses recurring operational issues and acts as an AP Super User for assigned system enhancements, UAT and process-improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Review and process supplier invoices, credit notes and debit notes through SAP Ariba and SAP, including PO and approved non-PO transactions, and validate approvals, tax treatment and accounting entries.
• Investigate and resolve invoice exceptions and discrepancies, escalate complex matters, and monitor outstanding invoices.
• Perform SAP Open Item reviews and support month-end processing.
• Reconcile supplier statements and outstanding balances, and reconcile balance sheet accounts such as GR/IR, advance payments, AP ageing and direct debits.
• Support audit, compliance and management requests, run quality reviews and recommend process improvements.
• Act as a resource for invoicing processes, coordinate with Procurement, suppliers, Schools, Departments and Centres, and help prepare SOPs, work instructions and user communications.
• Serve as AP Super User for system enhancements: gather requirements, plan tests, run UAT, document defects and support implementation readiness.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Accountancy, Finance or an equivalent discipline.
• At least 2 to 3 years of relevant Accounts Payable experience or knowledge of supplier invoice processing, procure-to-pay workflows, invoice reconciliation and payment controls.
• Experience supporting system implementation, UAT, process improvement or automation is preferred.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of SAP, SAP Ariba, ServiceNow or comparable ERP and workflow platforms is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and stakeholder management skills.
