Senior Firmware Engineer (Contract)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Firmware Engineer to join our team on a contract basis, focusing on the development and maintenance of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for industrial automation. You will work within a global, cross‑functional environment to deliver high‑quality embedded firmware solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain embedded firmware for PLC‑based industrial automation products.
• Design and implement new features and enhancements for PLCs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex system‑level software issues.
• Collaborate with global teams to meet project milestones and quality standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or related engineering field.
• 5–6 years of hands‑on experience in embedded software development.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Experience working in multicultural, cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency in C and C++ programming.
• Experience with real‑time operating systems (RTOS) such as VxWorks, Zephyr, embOS, or Linux RT.
• Familiarity with industrial communication protocols like Ethernet/IP and OPC UA.
