Senior Global Planning Engineer (NPI) - FE Inventory Control

About the role

Micron Technology is hiring a Senior Global Planning Engineer (NPI) for its FECOS Inventory Control team at Fab 10A. The role oversees the management of the FECOS NPI teams, which support NPI production execution through pilot line management, ensuring wafer starts, output, sample delivery and cycle time meet commitments. It works with Front End Planning and Manufacturing stakeholders to deliver tactical NPI solutions and share best practices across the network.

Key responsibilities

• Manage metrics: drive the FE Production team on critical reports for line management, inventory and cycle time, own global inventory metrics, business processes and reports, consolidate fab metrics and roll them up for executives
• Partner with sites to communicate fab deviations to plan, forecast roadblocks in NPI inventory and develop mitigation plans with site NPI managers
• Improve NPI metrics (wafer starts, wafer out, sample delivery, cycle time) with Area/Shift Production, Engineering and IE, and lead proof-of-concept deployments of BKM reports and automation
• Develop manufacturing science concepts for NPI line management and inventory scheduling, and take part in WW SIC forums and network meetings
• Manage projects to meet deliverables and deadlines, train production leaders to close knowledge gaps, and maintain the group's training roadmap
• Maintain open communication with Supply Chain on die mix and pull-in changes, and align business commitments with fab execution capability
• Act as technical authority for NPI wafers and cycle time, advise senior leadership on NPI performance and risks, and mentor engineers

Required profile

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Engineering or Science
• At least 7 years of experience in semiconductor cycle time, NPI and line management
• Strong technical knowledge of cycle time, NPI and line management, preferably with line operations experience
• Demonstrated leadership and a track record of impact are highly desirable
