Senior HBM Customer Systems Validation Engineer

About the role

Micron Technology, Inc. is hiring a Senior HBM Customer Systems Validation Engineer. You will run system-level validation, failure analysis, characterization and experimentation of customer systems, and support customers and memory enablers such as GPU manufacturers to qualify Micron memory products in their applications.

Key responsibilities

• Run and configure diagnostic software, design experiments, analyze and interpret data, and build custom hardware and software tools
• Present data to customers inside and outside Micron, and provide technical customer integration support at customer sites
• Work with customers and memory enablers to attain design wins and product qualifications
• Debug customer failures, reproduce them with diagnostics, identify the failure mechanism and collaborate with Product Engineering and RMA
• Provide 8D or failure documentation, implement design or process fixes, and support field sales
• Create test scripts, design and implement system tools, and modify hardware that controls test parameters such as temperature or voltage
• Support internal customer diagnostics tools in Micron labs and interface with external customers to run intelligent design-of-experiments
• Perform system characterization using logic analyzers, oscilloscopes and other tools, develop software to interpret data, and communicate results with cross-functional teams and customers

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (or equivalent), with more than 4 years of experience or more than 3 years respectively
• Experience programming with Linux, Python/C/C++, and version control systems (git, svn)
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, teamwork, and good communication, data analytics and presentation skills
• Basic understanding of DRAM operations and computer networking
• Preferred: bios/linux driver debugging, system architecture and memory subsystem knowledge, lab equipment experience, and prior product validation with hardware/firmware/software
