Senior Manager, Data Science, SMAI

About the role

Micron is looking for an accomplished Manager, Data Science to lead its TD NAND data science and analytics capabilities in Singapore. This is a high-impact leadership role at the intersection of semiconductor manufacturing, data science, advanced analytics and engineering. You will lead teams that apply statistical methods, machine learning, data engineering and advanced analytics to improve process capability, device yield and operational performance, working closely with Process Integration, Process Engineering, Inline/Metrology/RDA, Yield and other engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop global engineering and analytics teams, recruiting, mentoring and growing analysts, engineers and contractors.
• Analyze inline, parametric and probe data with manufacturing teams to identify yield detractors, troubleshoot issues and drive continuous improvement.
• Build data pipelines and automation, extracting and cleansing data from SQL databases, sensor networks and fabrication equipment.
• Apply statistical modeling, machine learning and data science to find patterns, sources of variation and support defect reduction.
• Partner with Process and Integration Engineers on Design of Experiments (DOE) to improve process capability and margins.
• Build automated reports, tools, prototypes and dashboards using Dash, Plotly and Streamlit.
• Manage a multi-stream analytics and data engineering portfolio and coordinate with Yield, LPD, Cost, IET, Planning and other engineering leaders.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 12+ years of professional experience, including at least 2-3 years leading global analytics and/or data science teams.
• Strong hands-on experience in the semiconductor industry and solid understanding of fabrication processes, manufacturing equipment and device physics.
• Highly desirable: 8+ years with data visualization and app development tools (Dash, Plotly, Angular), GitHub and JIRA, and familiarity with AI-assisted development tools.
• NAND memory architecture knowledge is a strong advantage.
